Iran Again Restricts Strait of Hormuz Passage

President Trump’s administration indicates expectation that it be reopened “immediately.”

The United States delegation, headed by Vice President JD Vance, is preparing to negotiate peace with Iran in Islamabad, Pakistan. The regime has again closed the Hormuz Strait and has said that negotiations are meaningless if Israel continues to retaliate against Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran restricted oil tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, despite the ceasefire terms, stating that Israel’s attack on Hezbollah violated the ceasefire agreement.

However, President Donald Trump and members of his administration have affirmed that Hezbollah is not included in the terms of the ceasefire. President Trump and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt both communicated the U.S. expectation that the Hormuz Strait be opened immediately.

After Israel attacked the proxy’s rocket launching positions, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that his nation would negotiate with Lebanon regarding the disarmament of the terror group.

Iran reportedly launched missile strikes against Tel Aviv not long after President Trump announced the two-week ceasefire on social media. Before the announcement of the pause in the conflict, Israel attacked and destroyed Iran’s largest petrochemical facility at South Pars.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Vice President Vance, Special Envoy Witkoff, and Jared Kushner as they prepare to negotiate with Iranian representatives.
  • For discernment for President Trump as he determines details regarding the ceasefire.
  • For U.S. and allied officials as they seek to ensure the regime no longer pursues nuclear weapons.
